What led you to become interested in bondage photography?

My love of bondage started about the time I was in the 3rd grade and saw a old Superman cartoon from the 1940's called The Mad Scientist.  When I was old enough to get a membership to a bondage site, I joined BondageMischief and the site started a spark to try and eventually shoot my own work. At the time though I was in the Navy so doing shoots was pretty much out of the question. When I found this site and started talking with a few producers that posted photos or occasionally did live streams, my desire to shoot my own photos came back and I started my search for models. I found Model Mayhem and from there started shooting with the amazing girls I work with now.

Do you have a bondage site? And, if not, where can people see your work?

I don't have my own site yet. I post my photos here on DA as well as on Facebook and on Fetlife under the user name Rescue71. Maybe eventually down the road I'll start a membership site but at the moment I don't have the time to maintain one. With all my time spent between 2 volunteer ambulance corps and my paid job, there have been times where I was working 24 hours or more. A bondage site is almost another full time job in itself that I just don't have time for.

How do you find the models who work with you? Who are some of the models who have shot with you?

I use Modelmayhem and Fetlife to find most of my models though there have been times where other photographers will tell a model about me or the model I'm shooting with tells me about a friend of hers that loves the feeling of rope. I've shot with a few well known bondage models Crystal Frost, Gianna Love, Briella Jaden, Hannah Perez, Tara-Tied and Constance. Some of them are kinky small town girls that give me the chance to tie them up like Jen or Kimber, both of which are starting to become more well known now with other photographers as well

How much work goes into preparing for one of your bondage shoots?

So far the hardest part has been deciding what way to tie and gag a model or getting to a new studio or hotel on time for the shoot. There was one time where I almost ended up late due to the fact a MVA happened right in front of me on the highway, luckily for me the model I was shooting that day was herself working on becoming a EMT so she understood that I couldn't just drive by the accident.

How do you decide what outfits or positions will be used for one of your shoots?

That depends on if I have any custom sets to do. When someone commissions me for a set, they get to decide on outfit, tie and gag. For those sets I do that aren't customs, me and the model(s) usually bounce ideas of each other. Sometimes a set is based of a tv show or movie like the ones I did with the NCIS badge and the Star Wars set I did after episode 7 came out. I generally tie the girls wrists behind her back in every position unless its a custom set or Gianna who always seems to want her wrists tied in front of her even though she knows I hate those ties based on just how easy it is to escape from

Describe one of your typical photo and video shoots from start to finish?

I check to make sure my memory cards have free space and all my materials as far as gags, rope and outfits are all clean the night before a shoot. On the day of, I'll check my supplies once more just to be sure everything is there that I will need at the shoot before heading out to wherever it is we will be shooting. Usually I'll arrive at the studio in Attleboro where most of my shoots have been lately and set up the rooms and organize my materials to make it easy to grab and bind. For outside shoots, I'll meet the girls at a Dunkin Donuts, grabbing us both some snacks before going to shoot. We start fast once the model does show up, doing custom sets first and if there is time after to do the sets that seem fun and interesting. Depending on the model I'm working with, often the last set we do is of her getting some sweet revenge.

What has been the most memorable moment for you out of all the shoots you’ve done?

That would probably be my outdoor shoot with Lexi which can be found on my Fetlife page. I had her tape bound and gagged in the trunk of her car taking pics when a RISP cruiser drove by and noticed that this cute blonde was struggling in the trunk. Her first thought must have been she was getting kidnapped because the trooper did a felony stop. With me standing there in cuffs, the trooper ungagged Lexi to find out if what I said was true about it being a photoshoot. When Lexi confirmed it, the trooper uncuffed me and left but not before she added some fresh tape over Lexi's lips. What is the dream shoot you have not yet done during your career as a rigger and site producer?

I am dying to work with Amanda Bryant. Her photos on bondagemischief are amazing. As far as working with another producer, I hope to one day make it out to CA to work with my friend   There have also been a few celebrities that I have met that I wouldn't mind tying up. I've met Carrie Underwood, the Dallas cheerleaders, US Ski team several WWE divas and, if things go the way they are supposed to, will be partnered with Olympian Brooke Henderson (7th place Rio 2016) in a charity golf classic soon. Definitely wouldn't mind getting any of them into my ropes if I ever got the chance.

What are your favorites: gags, type of restraint, bondage position for the model?

My favorite gag would definitely be tape with cleave or OTM coming a close second. Rope is probably my favorite type of restraint because it looks good on camera, comfortable for the model and doesn't hurt coming off like some duct tapes can, not that I wont do a tape tie every now and then either . My favorite position to tie a model in is a tight chair tie or hogtie.

How did you develop your technique for rigging and photography?

My rope skills were developed over my years as both a Boy Scout and USN officer. When there is a girl scout camp right next to yours, you learn fast that it's tie or be tied real quick LOL and the Navy taught me a lot of knots that also work well in holding a cute girl hostage. I've also learned a few skills from watching DVD's or by the models themselves. Most of my models are usually the tops instead of subs so they all know how to tie maybe even better than I do. Experience from 4 years of shooting bondage has also helped.

Can you describe your very first bondage shoot and then describe how you’ve seen your style/technique evolve since that first shoot?

At my first shoot I was working with Crystal Frost and I was so nervous I could barely even look her in the eye never mind having a good conversation with her other than what tie and gag we were going to do. My ties were also much looser compared to the ones I do now where it seems the only model that can get away is Kimber. My shoots today I joke around with the girls more than I did on that first shoot back in 2012. I'm no longer nervous even when it's a model that I've never shot with before. My style is still pretty much the same as it was back then, showing bondage as being something fun and enjoyable.

Are there any riggers/producers who have influence you over the years? And if so, how?

There are a few on DA there is and and as far as bondage websites BondageMischief has influenced me. BondageMischief was the first site I joined and has some of the most beautiful girls bound and gagged the way I happen to love.

How do you respond to this statement: BDSM equals abuse of women?

That statement is usually said by someone who has never been in a scene before. They just think they know what BDSM is all about. I don't see it as abuse as long as it's all done consentually. I get a yes from my models on everything we do from outfit to gag used. Every one of my models practice bondage in their personal lives as well and not just as an easy pay day. The people who say that should look into bondage before jumping to conclusions. Abused people usually have trouble trusting others whereas one of the key things in BDSM is trust. You have to have trust in your partner that he/she isn't going to cross a line when you're on the floor hogtied to the point you can't move or taped so tight in a chair that you'd never escape on your own.

What advice do you have for a person who wants to begin a bondage website as a producer/photographer/rigger?

Just go for it. It might be slow and a lot of hard work starting out, but, in the end, you'll make some great friends and hopefully some great photosets that might inspire someone else to try. That's how I got started years ago finding a few photos on the net.
