The HQ Call
TIME: 7:45 pm
Nick had watched the assault and firefight and was left aghast at Gwenda's death. The victorious assault team had contacted Karin who quickly relayed the information to Simone in the HQ Gallery.
Karin: I call Simone.
Simone: I pick up. "Hello?"
Karin: "Elizabeth Windsor here. We have confirmation from Rachel. Her team has eliminated a total of five agents at 309 Meeting street. Zero casualties on their side."
Simone: I smirk a little. "Good, so the plan worked well."
Karin: "They report a witness, in a rather uh, unusual predicament. He is a non combatant, they think. We may need to hold him at the HQ."
Simone: "Why not just eliminate him?"
Karin: "I need to ascertain more to see if he is of any use. Rachel has not interrogated him yet. He may have some connection to the agents at 309 Meeting. Looking at the floor plan you transmitted, it appears there are interrogation cells on the ground level."
Simone: "Then I'll have someone prepare them for questioning. Any other news?"
Karin: "Sabrina has one wounded, and they will need medical attention, with Dr. Julie."
Simone: "Have them take the ID's from all they killed while getting her ready to move."
Karin: "Good, I will confirm."
Simone: "Do they only have the one vehicle?"
Karin: "All they have is one vehicle, the transport van."
Simone: "All of them in one vehicle may not be wise, since we don't know if there's any enemies left out there or not."
Karin: "They are close enough to the safehouse, some can go by foot. The rest can move the wounded, to the HQ infirmary."
Simone: "Have four move with the wounded and the rest head to the safe house. They can bolster our defenses once here. The rest can make sure the safehouse hasn't been compromised in any way."
Karin: "We are fine in the safehouse at the moment."
Simone: "Oh, then prepare to have them re-purposed. If any enemy agents are still out there, then I want someone to head up the hunting teams. Sabrina seems like she'd do well in that regard. Hold on, listening in on the secure channel."
Karin: I stand by.
[7:46 pm] AmieM: Hello ... Hello ... is there anyone active here?
[7:46 pm] AmieM: uhhh ... again this is Security Police Agent Amie Mour [Voice somewhat loopy]
[7:46 pm] AmieM: Please ... someone answer ...
[7:47 pm] KristinG: @AmieM What is your status?
[7:47 pm] AmieM: ummmm ... something strange goin on ... at the barracks...
[7:47 pm] KristinG: Why are you at the barracks ... Thought you were on patrol with the VIP group....
[7:47 pm] AmieM: Well, it's a long story ... but somehow we never got assigned today and uh ... well just sort of ..
[7:47 pm] KristinG: I see... what is so strange at the barracks ...
[7:47 pm] AmieM: Well ... Becks and I swear we heard gunshots earlier ... so we wandered over and all the lights are out ... it's bizarre ....
[7:47 pm] AmieM: So we are behind some cover ... right now ...
[7:47 pm] KristinG : We are not too far from you ...
[7:47 pm] KristinG: All agents monitoring please respond ...
[7:47 pm] KristinG: Barracks agents ... HQ agents ... please respond ...
Simone: "There's two agents outside of the barracks. They have called a third for backup and looking for other agents to assist."
Karin: "Sabrina has not reported anything since she requested transport."
Simone: "The agents seem to be in cover and keeping some distance. But they heard the shots and are most likely waiting for backup."
Karin: "Understood, can you communicate with them?"
Simone: "Yes, I have access to the agent to agent channel. There are likely more than three, the agent she was talking to seems to have at least one other with her. Must be street patrol agents we didn't catch."
Karin: "Yes, they patrol in pairs usually. Can you learn their locations and direct them into a trap?"
Simone: "Like have them walk inside and have Sabrina's team ambush them from cover?"
Karin: "Yes."
Simone: "The area outside of the barracks is pretty wide open from the fence to the building. Some good shots can take them from the second floor with the assault rifles."
Karin: "And it is dark with the lights out."
Simone: "They could rig thermite to a tripwire and have that start it off. Would it be wise for me to go down there and infiltrate?"
Karin: "Probably no time for that. You will need a plausible story for the lights being out. Like electrical problems causing explosions and also taking out the parts of the communication system. April and Ella are in the transport van, I can divert them to the second pair of agents and they can ambush them."
Simone: "I could pretend that they were only able to contact HQ because Chiquita called on her personal cell phone."
Karin: "Yes, that should be okay, and the HQ lost electricity too. They have no way of knowing that wasn't true."
Simone: "Would they buy power going out at two separate locations?"
Karin: "Maybe not since they are on patrol and see that it is not citywide."
Simone: "Could say there are a high volume of calls tonight."
Karin: "And agents busy with the increased alert."
Simone: "Okay, the two other agents can be intercepted. While the first two can be told to check in with Chiquita."
Karin: "Agreed, proceed with that plan."
Simone: "Okay, will call if there's a snag." I hang up.
Simone: I patch into the agent to agent channel.
