GANG WAR INTERLUDE 2

As the war ranges, law enforcement continues to crack down. Cutting off the profits and interfering with their delicate rackets.  No one feels the heat more than the Valley Gang.
Led by the erratic Lorraine Howard, things had been shaky for weeks.  Lacking the deep pockets of the Southside O’Donnells and the Circus Café, many members begin to grumble as their profits seem to decrease.  While other bosses demand fifteen percent of gang member’s illegal income, Howard demands tribute of twenty-five percent.  When she raises the ante to thirty percent several members rebel.  Howard’s answer is to have the loud mouths killed.

Diagnosed with Bi-Polar disorder Lorraine Howard’s behavior becomes more erratic when she is off her meds.  Several members push for the boss to give way to her popular underboss, the younger and highly capable Christine “Chrissy” Norvik.  After the Bridal Shower Massacre and the loss of several of her more loyal and powerful supporters, Lorraine has become more schizophrenic and paranoid.

Several members have fled south and offer their services to the cartels or have joined the Damas De Las Noches, the organization of female killers who work for the highest bidder.  Feeling that she is losing her grip on her gang, her anger is directed at underboss, Norvik. If she were out of the way, then all would be well again.

Lorraine hires two freelance hit men and pays them $50,000 to kill Christine Norvik.

Chrissy Norvik has resisted the advice to take over the gang, Howard had been her mentor and helped her during her rise when she joined organized crime.  Her mind is made up when coming home one day she notices a suspicious vehicle parked across the street with three men watching her house. Chrissy does not stop but drives away.

A week later she narrowly misses being blown up by a car bomb…

With the gang on the verge of a bloody internal civil war, something has to be done and fast.
