1)  Describe your very first time tied up on camera.

The very first time I was tied up it was kind of a fluke. I had arrived to one of my first fetish shoots which was supposed to be tickling. I am not sure if I was just nervous or the tickler wasn't hitting my tickle spots but I wasn't feeling ticklish at all! So strange! The producer had a bondage custom video that he needed to do for a client and he asked if I felt comfortable doing it. I was a little nervous because I hadn't ever been tied up before but my adventurous spirit kicked right in and I was game! I was placed in a hogtie and gagged with a ball gag. I loved it !!! I promptly scheduled a bondage shoot with forced orgasm for Jack Douglas's website, while I was visiting Key West on vacation. 

2)  How did you decide to make bondage modeling your career?

When I started modeling, I was at a major turning point in my life. I was really dissatisfied with my career in pharmaceutical sales and it began to wear on me mentally and emotionally. After a near breakdown, I realized corporate America just wasn't for me. A photographer I knew encouraged me to put up a profile on Model Mayhem and immediately I found work doing photo shoots and videos with fetish related themes.  As I did more and more bondage videos, I realized how much I enjoyed the feeling of being immobilized, overcoming mental challenges involved with withstanding the position, and the heightened pleasure of a bound orgasm with the amazing Hitachi Magic Wand. 

3)  What has bondage modeling taught you about yourself and other people?

I've learned so much over the last 6 years. The main thing I have learned is the importance of clear and concise communication with the producers and photographers I work with, as well as other models in the industry. I had to learn the hard way a few times early on in my career how important it is to say what you mean and mean what your say. Whether it has to do with details of the shoot (duration, content, payment) or my personal limits, I always need to speak up and not be a people pleaser.  On a whole, most of my experiences have been favorable with people in the industry. I believe that people in the bondage industry are inherently good and have my best interests in mind. And for those rare ones I come across who wreak of selfishness, ill will or discontentment, they are the ones that I only shoot with once and move on from. 

4)  How do you decide who to model for or work with?

I look for those who are professional, courteous, are clear and concise in communication and have references from other models they have worked with. 

5)  Have you, at any time in your modeling career, ever felt exploited?

Sadly yes. On one occasion early on I worked with a producer who did not respect my limits and touched me inappropriately. I was extremely angry and felt betrayed especially given the vulnerability of being restrained. It also has happened financially with a super heroine production company who reneged on the payment terms at the conclusion of the shoot. They eventually paid nearly all the money they owed me but it took some angry words to make it happen. It really saddened me to know that this producer probably had done this to other less experienced models- taking advantage of there inexperience. 

6)  What do you think are the best and worst aspects of the adult industry?

The best aspects are the empowerment of running my own business, the ability to create my own schedule and the new experiences every week that come naturally by working with new models, producers, and meeting fans at conventions.  I love human connection and this job has me around new people all the time! 

The worst aspect is some of the flakiness and unprofessionalism that goes along with being in the adult industry.  No call, no shows are the worst and so frustrating!

7)  How have you seen the bondage modeling industry change since you began your career as a bondage model?

The one major change has been the amount of models that are now producing their own content. So many websites such as clips4sale, niteflirt, etc. make it easy to sell your own videos. Otherwise, I haven't seen too many notable changes - just new beautiful damsels in distress getting tied up 

8)  Out of all the bondage shoots you've done, which was the most memorable?  And which was the most fun?  Why were they most memorable and fun?

The most memorable shoot is a scene that I shot for Sadistic Rope. I was bound to the ceiling of a large steel cage about 20 feet off the ground. It was the craziest thing- I was looking down below like I was Spider-Man. I have to admit that I was a little scared but exhilarated at the same time and all fear left me when the Hitachi Magic Wand was placed on me 

Most of my bondage shoots have been super fun so it would be really hard for me to choose just one so instead I will tell you about the funniest.  Rewind back to 2010 in my first 6 months of fetish modeling- I arrived at my shoot which will be focused on tape bondage. Keep in mind, this is my first time working with this particular producer.  We talk briefly about the shoot and then I go to the bathroom to get dressed for the first scene. I take a final look in the mirror- checking my outfit and make up.  All's good and then I open the bathroom door, only to find this producer has done some self bondage.  He had taped himself up and placed a tape gag on, mmmppphhhing for me to remove his tape.  I couldn't contain my laughter and made him sweat it out for a couple minutes while I ignored his request to be saved.  Looking back on it, it’s a wonder I didn't just leave! Crazy! 

9)   Is there a shoot you have not done yet that is on your "bucket list"?  If yes, what is it?

As a matter of fact, yes, there is something I'd like to try at some point. To satisfy my extreme love for exhibitionism, I would like to do a nude bondage shoot in a very public area. 

10)  What is the kinkiest thing you've ever done off-camera? 

Good lord!!!!- I'm not sure that I want to divulge that information but I'll give you some hints: organic mouth packing, multiple participants, and lots of drool and gag talk!

11) What is your favorite restraint, gag, and bondage position?

Favorite restraint: rope

Favorite gag: cleave gag with panties (from a sexy girl) stuffed in my mouth 

Favorite position: hogtie

12)   What advice do you have for models interested in bondage modeling?

Go for it! Have fun and make sure to always put your own well-being before money. Always ask for references and make sure to check them. If something hurts, don't try to be a hero - speak up and have the ropes adjusted. It doesn't make you a wimp to want to make sure you’re safe and free from injury. Lastly, always trust your gut, it's never wrong.

13)  What do you do in your downtime away from modeling or producing content for your site and store?

I am so lucky because I have a pretty rich life full of activities and fun things to do. I am an avid runner and I love to work out so that keeps me pretty busy. I also attend women's retreats and groups in my area and even have begun to mentor a couple of young women. I love spending time with my boyfriend, Bruno - who many of you have met over the years. We are pretty low key - going out to dinner, watching movies, listening to classic rock and things like that. I spend a ton of time obsessing over and snuggling with my dog a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is just well... Adorable. 

14)  You've done a lot of work on the receiving end of bondage, but now you have your own site -- MistressCarissa.com -- and your clips store -- Carissa's Humiliation Playground.  How did those two sites come to be?

Well, in the summer of 2010, I began doing sessions - mostly switch and submissive at Destiny's Chambers, a house or domination in the Philadelphia area. During the switch sessions, I really started to embrace my dominant side. Over time, I discontinued doing sub and switch sessions and only concentrated on domination and I absolutely love it. My dungeon in Pittsburgh is a place for me to meet with local submissive clients as a Pro Dominatrix. My clips site, Carissa's Humiliation Playground, is a place for all of you who know me as a Damsel in Distress in the submissive role to see my alter ego come out and play. I love being in the dominant role and producing videos where I am the rigger, the Mistress and the Humiliatrix. 

15) What do you like most and least about owning your own sites?

I love filming and coming up with fun and creative ideas. I hate doing the editing and uploading!! I do all of the editing myself and most of the administrative work too so it's time consuming and tedious.
