1) First -- how did you come to choose your modeling name?
I wanted to sound approachable, realistic, brunette, and so I contemplated different first names for a while. I almost decided to name my fetish alias "Piper" but that ended up sounding too fake, Brooke is more "girl next door", and Thomsen is the Danish version of the overly popular "Thompson", so it's a little different for search engine purposes.
2) How did you enter the world of modeling?
When I was 18 years old, a photographer on Myspace contacted me and asked if I wanted to do a lingerie shoot. I always wanted to express my sexy side, so I agreed. The guy turned out to be a major creep, but I pursued modeling for other (more respectful) producers and photographers after that.
3) How familiar were you with bondage and Internet bondage websites before you tried bondage modeling?
When I was 19, I was invited to a latex shoot by Patrick Andraste in Seattle. He also happens to be a lifestyler, rigger, producer, photographer, and active player in the BDSM underground scene up there. I didn't know much about bondage websites except what he told me about his experiences. Back then, I was mostly interested in gothic and alternative style photographic modeling.
4) What was your first bondage shoot like? How did it come about? Were you nervous about shooting bondage for the first time?
Patrick had a friend who contracted me for a bondage style shoot to use photos in his upcoming romance novel, that was the first time I was tied with ropes. I was bound laying on my back stretched out on the kitchen counter, ball tied and carried like a purse, and bound spread eagle on the bed with a gag. I was already familiar with Patrick, so I was not worried about foul play. His author friend was very kind and respectful of my limits. The romance novel was a true story about him and his wife - who had passed away 6 months prior from cancer. He tied her up for the first time on their first date, fell in love, and became superstars in the Seattle BDSM scene: doing performances at events, appearing in the Seattle Sinner, and things of that nature. I was honored to play the part in his love story.
5) What inspires you? And how do you channel that into your modeling?
Being a human is great because we can express ourselves through creativity. My inner thoughts, ideas, emotions, and passions come to life at different styles of photo and video shoots. I grew up in a strict religious environment, and learned to keep my curiosities a secret, and not to wear expressions on my face. Once I turned 18 I sling-shotted into nude modeling, and now playing dress up, damsel, goddess, alt-queen, bikini babe, etc etc is a continuation of my rebellion housed in a controlled, business minded adult.
6) Do you enjoy being tied up? And, if so, what are your favorites -- method of restraint? gag? bondage position? role to play?
I don't use bondage in the bedroom, it's fun at shoots though. Sometimes after a hogtie, I feel like my back and shoulders got an incredible stretch that they needed. It also feels good to be suspended by the ankles. I actually hate gags, but they're necessary for playing the part of the damsel.
7) What are the best and worst parts of your work as a bondage model?
Most of my modeling (about 80%) is art or glamour style photo shoots, so bondage is a fun escape from the norm for me. There are a few down sides: occasionally I work with douchey bondage producers who want to push my pain limits or try to touch me inappropriately when tied up. Also, if I get bruised at a bondage shoot, it affects my glamour and art gigs for the next 2 weeks.
8) What was your most memorable moment or photo shoot as a bondage model?
I was booked by Marshall Bradford in Las Vegas to be a part of his photographc art expo earlier this year. Marshall worked a talented shibari rigger who tied the fastest, neatest, and most precisely placed rope patterns on my body that I have ever experienced! Marshall would stare at my nude body, briefly start describing a rope design, and within a minute, his assistant would have it whipped onto me, only to have Marshall change his mind and make him adjust the composition of the ropes to fit his artistic vision. It all happened so fast, I just sort of rag dolled my body and let them re-position me to fit their masterpiece ideas!
9) Who do you most want to work with?
In the bondage world? I don't know! I have worked with many talented individuals including Ken Marcus and Lew Rubens, who out there wants to tie me??
10) How was your decision to do bondage modeling received by those close to you like your family and friends?
Some people ask me if I get scared of being taken advantage of at bondage shoots, but honestly my close friends and family have a harder time accepting the fact that I do art and glamour nude modeling. I don't share bondage photos on my personal facebook or ig, usually just on twitter, fetlife and model mayhem... my family members don't frequent those sites.
11) Even though you are very young, have you given any thought to what you will do for a career if and when you decide to stop modeling?
Yes, I have been an event coordinator, video producer, and model mentor on the side for the last 4 years. My plan is to continue building those skills to carry my future past my modeling career.
12) What do you like to do during your downtime?
Hike, Read, eat Pho and mexican food, creative videography, writing, karaoke and live music!
13) What else do you want your fans to know about you and your work?
Thank you for following and supporting me! I also create custom videos for those of you interested [email protected]
Now the challenge is to see if I can get any of the models who've agreed to do interviews to turn one around so I'll have it by next Tuesday
Jealous, the only interviews I conduct are on hipster college kids that I'd rather punch than hire.
Well...what are you waiting for? Get to searching!
