What is it about your work that you think makes you so popular with your fans?
Longevity. Because I have been at this for 20 years and I’ve had the opportunity to work with many well known fetish producers, I am naturally well known by fans because of my long term presence.
Do you enjoy the pain elements that factor into some aspects of bondage modeling? And, if so, why?
I do enjoy it. It feels good to know I’m working hard and that I am able to focus my breath and body awareness enough that I can create images and video that are physically taxing, but visually and erotically amazing to the viewer.
Is your family supportive of your bondage modeling?
Not really. But after 20 years of praying for me new find a new career, and move back home, they’ve finally stopped asking “so how is work going” and they just let it be. My profession is not discussed. It’s much more comfortable for everyone that way.
What has bondage modeling taught you about yourself and other people?
Bondage modeling has taught me that only you know your body the number one very best and it’s so important to be in tune with that at all times. Others might know your body and physical state based off very educated guesses, but only you know what’s really going on with your body and what it is truly capable of on any given day. It’s important to have a refined judgment of that and to be able to vocalize this at any time. Knowing how to utilize this ability could save you from uncomfortable situations or serious injury.
Are you very selective about with whom you work? How do you decide who to model for or with?
I can be selective. I typically enjoy shooting busty, curvy girls. I like long hair. I typically steer clear of hiring models covered in tattoos and piercings. I like dark skinned models as well. Just light on the tattoos and piercings please.
With the 50 Shades of Grey movie bringing bondage into the mainstream media, some people have commented that BDSM represents an abusive relationship? How would you respond to people who make statements like that?
That’s 100% a judgment, not based on facts. How can you know if a relationship is truly abusive unless you are actually in it? If someone within the relationship has called law enforcement to report abuse, this action would indicate real abuse may be present, but it’s insane to make this judgment based on the fact that BDSM play is present in a relationship.
Have you, at any time in your modeling career, ever felt exploited?
I think that’s the idea in this business. Taking full advantage of any model’s popularity, reputation, ability, beauty, body style, tone of voice, and personality to make the biggest sale is the name of the game. Other producers were exploiting my images for financial gain, so I decided I should get a piece of the action and exploit myself too!
What do you think are the best and worst aspects of the adult industry?
The best aspects are the freedom you get to be creative, you can create and shoot your own fantasies. The flexibility you get with your schedule. The opportunity to be your own boss. The many chances to meet open minded non judgmental people.
Worst aspects are it’s typically viewed as a man’s world. It can be tough to stand out and be your own producer and trail blazer. Fighting piracy and competing with tube sites with free content is an endless problem. And the general over-saturation of content as well as new amateur producers quickly emerging and all competing with each other truly diminishes the possibility of worthwhile income.
How does the bondage modeling industry compare now to how it was when you began your career as a bondage model?
When I first began, I was booked every day of the week, sometimes double or even tripled booked in a day. Producers called me on the phone or “paged” me to call them back for bookings. No email or model sites. There was never any shortage of work ever. All bondage videographers and photographers were shooting and looking for models all the time and there was never any penetration or sex involved in the fetish shoots. I shot for many bondage magazines that, of course, are no longer in print. It was very easy to make a living as a bondage model back then.
Out of all the bondage shoots you've done, which was the most memorable? And which was the most fun? And please tell us why they were most memorable and fun.
Most of my HouseofGord.com shoots were incredibly memorable and fun. The silo and being tied anywhere to his truck were the most fun because the element of fear was clear and present.
Is there a shoot you have not done yet that is on your "bucket list"? If yes, please tell us what it is.
Yes, to finally work with SeriousBondage.com. I think I owe them a shoot still
What is the kinkiest thing you’ve ever done off-camera?
I think I’ve done a lot of them. I’m not sure which is the kinkiest. Sex in a cab with a girl. The cab driver actually kicked us out. We found another one who didn’t!
What advice do you have for models who hope to enjoy the longevity you've enjoyed in the bondage modeling industry?
My advice is that it seems to me to gain any popularity or longevity these days would require any one model to win at the social media game first and foremost. Also, bondage modeling as a passion will be far more helpful in maintaining your longevity. Do it because you love it, not for the money.
What else do you want your fans to know about you and your work?
I would love for fans to know how much I enjoy creating fantasy and fetish images for their enjoyment! I hope they will continue to enjoy my work for a long time to come!
sexy when tied, but dangerous if you let your guard down. you will be outfitted, tied or strapped into an exciting helpless and quivering mess. the lucky so-and-so.
she is naturally alluring, sexy and provocative.
i may never meet jewell, but i feel like i know her. just a tiny bit.
thank you, miss jewell,
2bteased( over and over and over ... )
Much love to beautiful lovely
Jewell!
I think Jewell underestimates how much her natural appeal plays a role in her popularity. Longevity is certainly a part of it, but even models who've had long careers aren't necessarily as popular as she has been. But that's okay... I'd rather a gorgeous lady be modest about her beauty than take it for granted.
The only way I'd have enjoyed this interview more is if we could have heard Jewell answering the questions in her charming voice. But even without that added bonus, it's a great interview, Rob! Thanks so much!
Next week is the one you've been waiting for!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed the interview!
